"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

ink and pencil are my specialties. born in '92 and raised on cartoons and gameboys up until the SP. altho i love the editing/photoshop tools on my computer, i get far too distracted when the WiFi is on. i believe in 'first hand learning' and don't think you need to go to an art school to be good. but if you need to go to a school to learn how to draw geometric shapes, drawing might not be for you. give photography a try.
